My sweet nephew, Tyler, is turning 10 in a couple of weeks. Did you hear me? 10. Double digits. Almost a teenager. What?!? When did this happen?
While I was out of town, I found the perfect birthday gift for him, a Star Wars apron and cookie cutters. The boy LOVES Star Wars so when I saw the apron and cookies cutters I knew he'd love them. Turns out he did just that: LOVE! THEM!
His actual birthday isn't until August 5th but being the push-over that I am, I not only let him have his present yesterday (July 21st) but I also let him talk me in to letting him spend the night with me. Normally, I'm more than happy to have him over any time he'd like but yesterday was the first day back from my whirlwind summer tour 2010 (vacation) and I was a little more than tired. However, I couldn't say no to that cute face of his. So, we went swimming, rented movies and took his new apron and cookie cutters for a test drive, forgetting all about exhaustion and work that needed to be done. The best decision I've made in a long time. Sweet memories were made. The kind I won't forget any time soon and am sure that my adorable boogie won't either.

I cannot believe how big he is! I love the apron and cookie cutters...so glad that he liked it. He did a good job decorating those cookies....I want one!
