NYC - DAY 2 (or, Can You Woo Woo Woo?)

Toya woke up singing this:

I mean, seriously, when the day begins with a little, "Can you Woo Woo Woo?," it's a good indicator that the day is going to be pretty spectacular.

Jerry had to work so Toya and I ventured out by ourselves and visited Rockefeller Plaza, Bryant Park and Times Square.  Good times, I tell you!

After fabulously ridiculous amounts of time spent at Forever 21 (where Toya purchased......wait for it......3 dresses, 2 shorts, 2 tops, and 1 skirt for $117.00! holla!), we ventured over to the Roxy for lunch and it was mucho delish.

Then, we headed back to Harlem to get ready for Jerry's Spring Extravaganza at his school.  His kids were so adorable and so fantastic.  They sang beautifully and brought the house down with their closing number, "Empire State of Mind".  I know I say it all the time, but I speaks the truth........Mr. Phelps is the most amazing teacher I know and the students at The Bronx Charter School for Children are extremely lucky to have him.

At the Extravaganza, we had the chance to meet up with Jerry's friends, Allen, Jenny and Elicia, all of which are fabulous.  Elicia kept us in hysterics while waiting for Jerry to wrap up all of his post Extravaganza duties.  Elicia made our evening with a great rendition of guess what? Yep, you guessed it, "Can you Woo Woo Woo?"!!!

We ended the night with some amazing Muslim food that Herk ordered for us, Herk singing and playing the piano while Toya and I did a little interpretive dancing and  staying up until 2am talking and giggling.

So. Fun.
